Apokalissi

U hekk waslet l-apokalissi: la ibħra jibilgħu l-art, la smewwiet jingħalqu, la art tisfronda. Minflok, għajb mikroskopiku li sikkitna lkoll f'ħabs inviżibbli li bnejna mir-rgħiba tagħna stess.

And thus was the apocalypse: the sea did not swallow the land, the earth did not crack open, the skies did not close. It only took a microscopic force to drive us to an invisible prison of our own greedy making. A deafening silence.
